March 1, 2023 - During Women’s History Month, we honor the founding Flight Attendants of our Union.
These fearless women provided the foundation for AFA to fight against discrimination on the job including age, weight, race, marital status, having children, for men to have the same rights as women.
Today, we honor their legacy by fighting against sexual harassment and sexual assault on the job in order to ensure full equality and respect for our role as aviation's first responders.
AFA councils across the country are honoring Women's History Month in various ways. Mesa Council 88 is recognizing a Flight Attendant in their council every Wednesday in March and will be doing #WomanWednesday.
