Air Wisconsin Flight Attendants File For Mediation

Washington, DC – The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), representing Flight Attendants at Air Wisconsin Airlines, filed a joint petition with management to the National Mediation Board (NMB) requesting mediation in contract negotiations. Air Wisconsin, the largest privately held regional airline in the United States, operates as a US Airways Express carrier.

“AFA is committed to reaching an agreement that reflects our Flight Attendants’ professionalism and the contributions they make to the success of this airline,” said Adam Novish, AFA Air Wisconsin President. “We look forward to meaningful discussions with the assistance of the NMB and to securing a contract that Air Wisconsin Flight Attendants deserve.”

Through the course of bargaining, management has continued to seek concessions and remove previously negotiated improvements, including many quality of life provisions important to Flight Attendants.

For over 65 years, the Association of Flight Attendants has been the voice for Flight Attendants in the workplace, in the aviation industry, in the media and on Capitol Hill. Nearly 50,000 Flight Attendants at 21 airlines come together to form AFA, the world’s largest Flight Attendant union. AFA is part of the 700,000-member strong Communications Workers of America (CWA), AFL-CIO. Visit us at www.afacwa.org
