Flight Attendants at Horizon Air Ratify New Contract
Washington D.C. (January 27, 2016) – The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) today voted to approve a tentative agreement with Horizon Air management. Flight Attendant contract negotiations began six months ago, when Horizon Air management asked for changes to the contract that the company said were needed to bring jets to the airline.

“Flight Attendants at Horizon Air demonstrated today that we want to see a future that includes growth. This was a tough choice, but ultimately we decided this was the path we needed to take,” said Lexie Graham, AFA president at Horizon Air.
The new one-year extension will cover almost 600 Flight Attendants and only goes into effect if Horizon is awarded regional jet flying for Alaska Airlines. It includes bidding software updates and per diem and pay increases. Flight Attendants previously ratified a five-year contract on July 18, 2013.
