Association of Flight Attendants-CWA

Washington, DC (January 8, 2015) – Silver Airways Flight Attendants voted to join the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) for representation and a strong, united voice in the workplace. Silver Airways is a U.S. airline in an alliance partnership with United and headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  The world’s largest Flight Attendant union, AFA is comprised of Flight Attendants working at mainline, regional, low cost, niche and charter airlines.

The National Mediation Board’s elections opened on December 16, 2014 and closed on January 8, 2015, with Silver Airways Flight Attendants casting an overwhelming number of votes in support of joining AFA.

“We are elated to welcome Silver Airways Flight Attendants into our AFA family,” said AFA International President Sara Nelson. “Silver Airways Flight Attendants will now benefit from a strong, unified voice for issues that matter to all Flight Attendants as they begin work for a contract with the assistance of AFA’s professional negotiators.”
