United Flight Attendants Picket Thursday Around the World: “Time is Up. Contract Now.”
Washington, D.C. (May 18, 2016) — United Airlines Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO (AFA), will protest at more than 14 major airports around the world on Thursday, May 19, as they press for an industry-leading contract in the midst of record profits.
“Time is up. Management needs to complete this merger with an industry-leading Flight Attendant contract,” said AFA presidents Randy Hatfield (pre-merger Continental), Kathleen Domondon (pre-merger Continental Micronesia) and Ken Diaz (pre-merger United).
Flight Attendants and management have been in federal mediation for six months. There is one more week of negotiations scheduled. Time is up: Contract now.
