10 Hours Rest Is Law - Implement Now
November 13, 2019 — Our efforts to secure 10 hours minimum rest under the law was successful in October 2018 - closing a safety, health, and equality loophole in aviation. But the DOT and FAA have not yet forced the airlines to comply with the law.
In September, AFA testified before the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee on this and yesterday we filed comments on why a rule making is not necessary for implementation. We were joined by the Teamsters in filing our comments on the federal register. Both the testimony and comments may be viewed here.
