10 Hours Rest on way to Implementation

10 Hours Rest on way to Implementation

August 5, 2022 - The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee sent a letter today to the The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) telling the agency to get 10 hours rest implemented NOW. The FAA informed our union yesterday that the rule was officially submitted to the OMB -- the last step before the rule becomes final and can be implemented.

"Flight Attendants need rest more than ever! We achieved an overwhelming bipartisan vote in 2018 to make this law! The Trump administration tried to kill it in the regulatory process, but the Biden administration put it back on track. It is still way past time this gets implemented. The House T&I committee is saying with Flight Attendants - no more delay! Rest now! Cheers to these lawmakers, with Peter DeFazio out front. We call on the OMB and the Biden administration to get this done asap. We can’t wait for one more sleepless night." - Sara Nelson, AFA President.
