51st AFA Board of Directors Convention Wrapped!
May 24, 2024—This week, the AFA Board of Directors met for our union’s 51st Convention in Atlanta, Georgia. AFA Local Executive Council (LEC) Presidents from each of our 20 AFA-represented airlines, Master Executive Council (MEC) Officers, International Officers, members, and guests came together for an in-person meeting.
Guests heard from CWA President Claude Cummings, NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy, FAA Deputy Administrator Katie Thomson, Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), and UAW President Shawn Fain. Members rallied in Downtown Atlanta, calling out corporate greed and showing unity in our fight for fair contracts across airlines and across our industry (more on that below!).
