9/11 Memorial & Museum Recognizes Flight Crewmembers During National Aviation Week
August 9, 2018 — The 9/11 Memorial & Museum will mark National Aviation Week (August 13-19, 2018) by providing free Museum access to crewmembers both active and retired. Throughout the week, the Museum will feature flight crew-themed auditorium programming to highlight this chapter in aviation history and share these stories with Museum visitors.
Active and retired crewmembers are invited to visit the Museum for free during regular operating hours from August 13–19. Onsite ticketing only. A valid ID, such as company identification cards, is required for active crewmembers. Retired crewmembers who don’t have identification will be asked to complete a verification form.
AFA appreciates this week of recognition and focus on the role of our heroes during the events of September 11th. We encourage the 9/11 Memorial & Museum to recognize aviation's first responders year-round as we continue to serve in the wake of September 11th with the responsibility as aviation's last line of defense. The AFA Honor Guard will lay flowers at the memorial on September 11th.
