AFA-CWA Attends International Transport Workers’ Federation Conference
October 11, 2024 — AFA is a proud member of the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF), a federation of unions representing 18.5 million workers across the globe fighting to protect and advance our lives and futures in transportation.
As a part of ITF, we have led the way. Here’s two examples:

Establish the first-ever international standards for aviation workers around the world at the United Nations’ International Labor Organization (ILO).

International Civil Aviation Organization's (ICAO) to publish Circular 344 directing airlines to enhance their operational procedures to minimize onboard exposure to smoke and fumes.
AFA is headed to Marrakech next week for the ITF Global Congress that takes place once every five years. We’ll set a collective agenda for the next five years to continue pushing worker-driven change and building a stronger movement to shift power away from the corporate greed and for the people.
