AFA in Dallas to Support Nurses Strike
July 6, 2021 - Our union is joining with striking Massachusetts nurses from St. Vincent's Hospital owned by Tenet Healthcare at the corporation’s headquarters in Dallas. Nurses are striking for safe staffing and patient care.
This fight is about our healthcare and care of our loved ones. We cannot allow Wall Street to take this away from us.

We're proud to stand with these striking nurses who cared for patients who were sick and dying in the middle of this pandemic. They gave their hearts and souls for all of us and this strike, that's now over 120 days long, will have consequences across the country. We have to win.
For-profit healthcare companies are pressuring Tenet not to settle. Hedge funds want to squeeze more and more out of hospitals to funnel money to Wall Street, not patient care.
This is Labor’s moment to demand proper care for our loved ones, and respect and support for the people who make it possible.
