AFA Looks Forward To Advancing Critical Flight Attendant Issues With Department of Labor Secretary Perez

Washington, DC – The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) today congratulated Thomas E. Perez on his confirmation as U.S. Secretary of Labor. Charged with protecting and promoting the interests of American workers, Perez’s experience and dedication will assist the Department of Labor in continuing to make opportunities available for working people.

"We are excited at the opportunity to work with Secretary Perez on continuing to improve the lives of Flight Attendants," said AFA International President Veda Shook. “AFA has enjoyed a collaborative relationship with the Department of Labor in recent years. Together we have made great strides towards improving the safety and health conditions for Flight Attendants inside the aircraft cabin. We look forward to continuing that important work with Secretary Perez and are confident that under his leadership, workers will continue to have a voice at the table, creating lasting effects for millions of Americans.
