AFA Supports Pensions for All Legislation
July 18, 2025 - Earlier this week, Senator Bernie Sanders introduced the Pensions for All Act. The Act would provide comprehensive retirement coverage for over 55 million working-class Americans who do not have employer-provided retirement plans.
AFA is proud to endorse this legislation because it provides a check on the corporate greed that bleeds workers and retirees dry. From AFA President Sara Nelson:
Every worker deserves to retire with dignity, but big corporations and their shills have rigged the system. Most Americans have virtually nothing saved for retirement because they can barely pay bills today without a living wage. Flight Attendants fully support the Pensions for All Act because it will rebalance the scales by holding employers accountable to working people. That benefits all workers and levels the playing field for collective bargaining too.
