Alaska Flight Attendants Overwhelmingly Ratify Contract
February 28, 2025 - Today, Alaska Airlines Flight Attendants voted to ratify a new contract. The industry-leading three-year agreement provides an immediate, double digit wage increase for the 7,000 Flight Attendants, boarding pay, and retroactive pay.
The agreement sets a new standard for the industry with a boarding pay worth more than other mainline carriers, as well as an increase in pay for trip reassignment, extended reserve shifts, and for flights delayed into a day off.
“This contract will immediately and significantly improve the lives of Alaska Flight Attendants,” said Jeffrey Peterson, AFA Alaska MEC President. “Alaska Flight Attendants’ solidarity pushed management to recognize our critical role to the safety and success of this airline. This contract also raises the foundation for the new joint Alaska-Hawaiian negotiations following the merger.”

The newly ratified contract includes:
- Immediate pay increases with 18.6-28.3% day of signing increase to pay scale, boarding pay, retro pay back to the amendable date, and out year raises. 150% reassignment pay for the entire trip
- 200% pay for Extended Reserve – Alaska has 12 hour reserve shifts, if Crew Scheduling converts FA to ER (extended reserve) to 24 hours, Flight Attendants will receive double pay for the first duty period (the extended reserve day) or not used pay, regardless if the conversion was voluntary or involuntary. Capped at 3/month
- Paid 250% for any flights into or on a day off
- Vacation: 6th week of vacation at 25 years (no 960 requirement)
- Sick Leave Bank increase and cashout option
- Maintained 10.5 hour maximum scheduled duty day
- Per diem increase and Company 401k match increase
- Increased Pay for Premiums, Deadhead, and Trainings
