Breeze Vote Count Next Week

May 3, 2024—Breeze Flight Attendants organized earlier this year to get an election with the National Mediation Board to select AFA as their union. The voting closes tomorrow, May 7, and the ballots will be counted starting tomorrow afternoon. Breeze continues to grow with more than 650 Flight Attendants based at BDL, CHS, MSY, ORF, PVD, PVU, TPA, MCO.

Breeze has been in the air for a few years, and as it has grown it became clear to Flight Attendants that they need a union. Flight Attendants want a legally-recognized voice at the airlines, work rules that can’t change on management’s whim, increased pay, hotel accommodations and more.

Management’s union-busting campaign, led by the notoriously anti-union founder David Neelman, is from the same playbook we’ve seen for decades, including violations of worker protections outlined in the Railway Labor Act. AFA Legal sent Breeze management a cease and desist letter for interfering with Breeze Flight Attendants’ organizing — and Flight Attendants became more motivated than ever to secure their union.
