Compass Airlines Flight Attendants File for Mediation

Compass Flight Attendants fly under Delta Connection and American Eagle

Washington, D.C. (May 14, 2019) — The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), today filed for mediation with the National Mediation Board (NMB) to press forward on a new contract for 500 Compass Airlines Flight Attendants. The request was filed jointly with Compass Airlines.

Compass is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Trans States Holdings and serves as a Delta Connection and American Eagle carrier.

"After continued negotiations, progress has stalled at wages and economics," said Michael Nelson, AFA Compass President. "We are committed to reaching a new agreement that is acceptable to Flight Attendants and look forward to having the NMB appoint a mediator who will help move negotiations in that direction.”

Filing for federal mediation with the NMB is the next step in negotiations under the Railway Labor Act.
