Eugene V. Debs Award Recognizing Our Fight
October 4, 2024 – Congratulations to our President Sara Nelson on receiving the 2024 Eugene V. Debs Award! Thank you to the Debs Museum for the honor and recognition of Flight Attendants’ fight. In solidarity we lift the working class.
Debs promoted workers’ right to organize unions and to strike in order to protect our interests, for shorter hours, and for restrictions on child labor. Read more about him here.
The award honors the memory of Debs and assists in keeping alive the spirit of humanitarianism. Other notable leaders have received the award including UAW’s Walter Reuther, Corretta Scott King, Dolores Huerta, and A. Philip Randolph.
