Fight for Our Veterans and All of Our Rights
March 22, 2025 - Throughout our union’s history, we have fought to open the Flight Attendant career to anyone with the heart of a Flight Attendant. We fought to end the practice of firing Flight Attendants who got married, had children, or turned 32. We fought for partner benefits and protections for our LGBTQ+ members. Every time the government weakens the rights or protections of one group, it infringes on all of our rights. If we are silent while they strip rights away from others, our own rights will be next.
Division is the tool of the union busters. For decades, they worked to divide aviation workers. We’ve worked to overcome those divisions, and we’re stronger for it. We must stand strong for one another now. For our Black and brown flying partners and families. For our veterans. For our trans siblings. For our union rights. An injury to one is an injury to all, and we will not stand silently while Flight Attendants and our loved ones are being attacked, harmed and erased.

Veterans rely on the VA… When Elon Musk [and DOGE] fires federal workers, they’re firing veterans. When they fire VA workers, they’re firing veterans—and the people who make sure veterans get the care we earned and need.
“When they say trans servicemembers aren’t welcome, that’s an attack on veterans. When they say women shouldn’t be allowed in combat roles, that’s an attack on veterans. When they fire Black generals and women generals, that’s an attack on veterans. When they try to erase our history. It is also an attack on our members, and I take those attacks personally…”
