Flight Attendants and Pilots Call for Prioritizing Safety, Operations with Short-Term 5G Compromise

January 8, 2022 - Good news. This week, AT&T and Verizon agreed to a deal to delay 5G rollout and work with the U.S. Department of Transportation to ensure aviation and 5G can safely coexist. 

“We will not stand for corporations creating a dangerous and disruptive situation for crews, passengers and our industry,” said AFA President Sara Nelson and ALPA President Capt. Joe DePete in a recent statement. “Aviation operations are already stretched to a breaking point by the ongoing pandemic." Read the joint press release >
