Flight Attendants Mourn Death of Richard Trumka
August 6, 2021 - AFA International President Sara Nelson, released the following statement on the sudden passing of AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka on Thursday.
"Our hearts are with the Trumka family, Rich’s beloved United Mine Workers of America and all of Labor. What an incredible loss for our movement. Rich vowed to lead the movement until the PRO Act is signed into law. We must recommit ourselves as a movement to doing what is needed to achieve his mission for working people: a fair chance to survive and thrive."
