August 30, 2019 — Hundreds turned out with AFA Hawaiian Airlines Flight Attendants last Wednesday in HNL as they called on management to come to the bargaining table and negotiate fairly.
Labor allies including ALPA, UNITE HERE! Local 5, Hawaii State AFL- CIO, IAFF/HFFA (Fire Fighters), Hawaii Government Employees, ILWU, OPEIU, IATSE 665, Pride@Work, UFCW 480, UBAC Local 1, Teamsters 996, Operating Engineers Local3, Hawaiian Police Officers, nurses and more.
AFA Hawaiian Flight Attendants also delivered postcards to Hawaiian Airlines Headquarters, urging them to come to the bargaining table and negotiate fairly.
Management presented their economic proposal recently in Portland, continuing to insist on concessions while the airline announces profits. While small wage increases were offered, concessions proposed in other areas would negate some of those increases for Flight Attendants.
