Horizon Air Flight Attendants Hold Demonstration at SEA & PDX to Fight for a Fair Contract
November 8, 2019 — On Wednesday, AFA Horizon Air Flight Attendants demonstrated at SEA and PDX as we fight for a fair contract that includes better pay and benefits.
AFA Horizon Air was joined by the entire Alaska MEC, United Flight Attendants, IAM Ramp workers and more to fight to end discriminatory wage policies that flight attendants on regional carriers face.
On average, regional flight attendants are compensated 45% less than flight attendants on mainline carriers. Horizon Air is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alaska Air Group. Right now, Horizon Air management is not offering reasonable wages, and is demanding productivity increases without increasing pay.
