Horizon Flight Attendant Responds to Violent Passenger
February 14, 2025 - Earlier this month, a Horizon Flight Attendant responded to a violent passenger who was actively assaulting another passenger before departure.
“Ensuring the safety of every passenger and crewmember onboard is why planes don’t board without a minimum number of required Flight Attendants,” said AFA President Sara Nelson. “In this case, when all other options were exhausted to stop the violent passenger from continuing the assault, the Flight Attendant used his airline and previous career training to stop the assailant. He further protected a passenger and instructed fellow passengers to assist with restraining the violent passenger. This stopped further escalation and injury to more passengers onboard the plane.”
