The work of the Human Rights and Equity Committee is especially critical during times of change and transition. We inspire, equip, and mobilize our members to build strong and resilient communities. The urgency of our collective work in advocating for policies that uphold social justice principles and support members who are marginalized persists regardless of the election’s outcome.
As we look to the future, I encourage each of you to lean into your power to make a difference. Our volunteerism, unity, and collaboration around our common vision of a just and non-discriminatory society will light the way for our path forward.
Over the next few weeks and months, many of our members in marginalized communities may need additional support. The below population specific resources may prove helpful. If I can be of support to any of you, please do not hesitate to reach out. Additionally, don’t forget that your AFA EAP committee members stand ready to assist you and the membership also.
