International Trans Day Of Visibility
April 3, 2022 - We marked March 31, 2022, International #TransDayOfVisibility, by standing with millions of people in America who identify as transgender, gender non-binary, or intersex, and call for all such people to be treated with the respect and dignity everyone deserves.
In 2018, the AFA Executive BOD passed a resolution affirming our longstanding commitment to promote economic and social justice for all workers through education and action...regardless of gender identity and gender expression.
"Transgender people are our beloved members, family members and friends, and our valued flying partners. What harms transgender people harms us," the resolution reads. "AFA calls for respect and transparency in policy-making, and for equality under the law for transgender people."
Today, trans people and especially trans kids face vicious discrimination. Lawmakers in states across the country have introduced bills that would eliminate trans people's rights.
