Labor Day is Our Day
August 30, 2024 —Happy Labor Day, Flight Attendants! For Aviation’s First Responders it’s another day at the office with over 17 million people traveling on our planes over the extended holiday weekend. Labor Day is also a time to celebrate our work & recognize that working people bring all of the value to our industry and country.

This Labor Day celebrate each other and every worker we meet as we build power together. As our President Sara Nelson says, “For 50 years, management has told us we should feel lucky to have a job. From here forward, we’ll have them know they should feel lucky to have our work.”
In 2024, Flight Attendants across the industry are recognizing our power when we stand together with historic strike votes at United, Alaska, Omni, Air Wisconsin and ongoing votes at Frontier and PSA. Flight Attendants across the industry are fighting to raise the standards for our career.
This Labor Day take time to recognize the contributions of a flying partner. Tell someone – thank you, it’s nice to work with you. The truth is, being together is the best part of our job. Happy Labor Day!
