Labor Unrest at Frontier: Flight Attendants Picket at McCarran International Airport

LAS VEGAS (September 21, 2018) — Frontier Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, will picket for a fair contract Friday, September 21, at McCarran International Airport (LAS) as they prepare to take a strike vote next month.

“Management has left us no choice. We’re preparing to do whatever it takes to get a fair contract,” said Jennifer Sala, AFA Frontier President. “Frontier continues to grow as an airline, but as the company announces new destinations, management has left Frontier Flight Attendants behind. Frontier Flight Attendants are among the most underpaid of all major U.S. airlines. It’s time management recognizes our contributions with a contract and a living wage. We make Frontier fly!”

This is the fourth month Frontier Flight Attendants have picketed Frontier hub airports in an escalating campaign to pressure management at the negotiating table. Flight Attendants previously took action in Denver, Philadelphia, and Orlando.

Negotiations began in November 2015, and continue in mediation with the oversight of the National Mediation Board. Mediation continued this week in Denver.
