December 18, 2024 - The official holiday travel period starts tomorrow, December 19th, and will continue through Thursday, January 2nd. TSA anticipates it will screen more than 39 million people at airports nationwide during the same period. December 14, 2024 - December 17th is the first-ever American Eagle Day of Action! Flight Attendants from Air Wisconsin and PSA work flights branded as American, but are paid on average 45% less than cabin crew employed directly by American.

As your merger moves forward, so does your representation. Our AFA-CWA Constitution and Bylaws calls for the merger of the Master Executive Councils in order to address our issues with the power of one voice. That starts with the election of MEC Officers. All of the Local Councils and your elected representatives will remain in place until the ratification of a Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement (JCBA). After the ratification of the JCBA the dual Councils at LAX will be merged as well.

AFA Applauds New Legislation to Protect Employees When Company Files for Bankruptcy

December 9, 2024 - For too long corporations have used bankruptcies as a way to circumvent financial responsibility and cut contracts, jobs, and pensions, especially in the aviation industry. Senator Dick Durbin reintroduced longstanding bankruptcy reform legislation and Josh Hawley joined him this time to make this the bipartisan Protecting Employees and Retirees in Business Bankruptcies Act.
