TSA Announces New Carry-On Electronic Device Security Procedures

July 26, 2017 — The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced today advanced security measures for screening electronics in carry-on items.

AFA Pittsburgh Town Hall

The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) is coming to Pittsburgh for the 76th CWA Convention. AFA will host a Town Hall for all Flight Attendants in the Pittsburgh area prior to the CWA Convention. AFA Members from Air Wisconsin, Compass, Envoy, Frontier, PSA, Spirit, Omni, and United Airlines call Pittsburgh home, along with AFA lifetime members commuting from Pittsburgh.

The House FAA Reauthorization Bill (H.R. 2997) protects our jobs from outsourcing and sets 10 hours non-reducible minimum rest for Flight Attendants. We need all hands on deck right now if we are going to keep this issue alive and make it law.  But it won't happen without your action.

June 22, 2017 - On Tuesday, June 20th, AFA International President Sara Nelson and the AFA Air Safety, Health and Security Department presented to the Department of Transportation (DOT) lead staff on the roles, responsibilities and training required to serve as an FAA Certified Flight Attendant.
