JUN 19, 2017 - The fury has died down, but the rash of viral confrontations on airplanes is still very much on flight attendants' minds. They are demoralized and anxious, afraid of becoming the villain in a cellphone video that spreads across the globe — creating a situation some say could result in safety lapses on planes.

AFA International President Sara Nelson Speaks at International Aviation Club

AFA International President Sara Nelson spoke at the International Aviation Club on May 23, 2017 in Washington, DC. Representatives from the aviation industry in attendance including Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Boeing, Airlines for America (A4A), the Department of Transportation, members of Congress, and more.

The International Aviation Club's mission statement is "to foster and promote interest in the maintenance and development of aircraft, airports, air navigation and air transportation, international agreements, cooperation and treaties, as all of these... apply to international aviation."

AFA Phoenix Town Hall

The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) is coming to Phoenix. AFA’s 45th Annual Board of Directors Meeting will be held in Phoenix on June 24, 2017. Following the Board, AFA Leaders will host an AFA Town Hall for all Flight Attendants in the Phoenix area. Thousands of AFA Members from Mesa, Alaska, Envoy, Frontier, Hawaiian, United Airlines, Virgin America, and AFA Lifetime Members call Phoenix home.

Manchester Arena Explosion Monday Evening

(May 22, 2017) - This evening, during the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, UK there was an explosion in the arena that has resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries. Police are treating the incident as a terrorist attack until or unless determined otherwise. Expect that security in Europe will be on high alert.
