An Update on Our Fight for 10

March 21, 2016 — On Wednesday, March 16, nearly 400 hundred Flight Attendants convened in Washington for an historic event to push for meaningful rest requirements to fight fatigue. Together, we made a powerful impact on Capitol Hill through our direct presence and the thousands of Flight Attendants who backed up our rally with calls to the Senate from across the country.

52,000 ALPA Members Stand with AFA

MARCH 18, 2016 - In a letter to AFA, the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) said they support our efforts to achieve 10 hours minimum Flight Attendant rest and duty time regulations in accordance with scientific findings.

Most Americans can combat that early morning tired feeling with a good ‘ol cup (or two or three) of joe. But not every worker has the luxury of being able to get by on espresso alone. Flight attendants — who are responsible for the safety of airline passengers — need much more: a minimum of 10 hours of rest between flights.

MARCH 17, 2016 - Over 300 Flight Attendants from across the industry descended on Capitol Hill to Rally for Rest. Flight Attendants from the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, and the Transport Workers Union joined together to Fight for 10. They visited all 541 Congressional offices to advocate for these provisions.

MARCH 14, 2016 - It is time to make a final push to get our 10 hours minimum rest and fatigue management is included in the FAA Reauthorization bill. Last week, Senators Thune (R-SD) and Nelson (D-FL) introduced the bipartisan FAA Reauthorization Act of 2016.
