US Airways Flight Attendants Vote To Join Forces With American Flight Attendants For Historic Bargaining Agreement at World's Largest Airline

US Airways Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), today voted to ratify an Agreement on Bargaining and Representation between AFA and the Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA) along with a Negotiations Protocol Agreement with American Airlines management. The agreement establishes a joint negotiations protocol for a single contract at the New American Airlines with the assurance of improvements in one year for all 24,000 Flight Attendants.

Flight Attendant Union Applauds Arizona Governor For Veto Of Discrimination Bill

Alaska Airlines Flight Attendants Reject Tentative Agreement, Demand Improvements

Flight Attendant Union Mitigates Involuntary Furloughs at United Airlines

AFA International President Veda Shook, United MEC President Greg Davidowitch and Continental MEC President Marcus Valentino negotiated a staffing Side Letter of Agreement with United management this week. The agreement provides United Flight Attendants, who would otherwise be involuntarily furloughed, with more voluntary options as well as the ability for to “cross over” to employment at Continental Airlines. It also keeps the focus on joint contract negotiations with the backing of a unified Flight Attendant work group.
