Washington, DC – Compass Airlines Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), today authorized a strike should negotiations with management fail to reach an agreement that can be ratified. AFA Flight Attendants First Through Known Crewmember Security Check Points

7,000 US Airways Flight Attendants First to Gain Access to Expedited Security Screening

Washington, DC – Starting today, US Airways Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), are able to access the alternate, expedited security screening program Known Crewmember (KCM) in 23 airports across the country. The successful program was launched by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in 2011, tested thoroughly and today Flight Attendants begin to use the risk-based security screening.

Piedmont Airlines Flight Attendants Support Strike by Strong Majority

Washington, DC – Piedmont Airlines Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), today sent a loud and clear message that if management fails to negotiate a new agreement, a strike could result at the airline. The strike was authorized by 98 percent of participating Flight Attendants. Piedmont is a wholly owned subsidiary of US Airways Group, Inc. and operates as a US Airways Express carrier.
