NMB Agrees with AFA - Declares New ‘Super Regional’ Ready for Union Election

Washington, DC – The National Mediation Board (NMB) today granted the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) request to declare that the Atlantic Southeast/ExpressJet merger has created a single transportation system for the purpose of Flight Attendant representation.  Over 2,300 Flight Attendants will soon vote for their union representation at the combined airline.

Omni Flight Attendants Join World's Largest Flight Attendant Union

Washington, DC – Omni Flight Attendants voted to join the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) by a margin of 84 percent. In a union representation election that concluded today, the National Mediation Board (NMB) announced that out of 284 votes cast, 237 elected AFA as their collective bargaining representative.

Flight Attendants At Spirit Airlines Vote To Authorize Strike

Washington, DC –Flight Attendants at Spirit Airlines, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), overwhelmingly authorized a strike should management fail to reach an agreement with Flight Attendants.  In a strike vote that concluded today, 98.4 percent of Spirit Flight Attendants voted to authorize a strike, if necessary.

Omni Flight Attendants Excited To Move Forward With World's Largest Flight Attendant Union

Washington, DC – An election for union representation begins today for the nearly 400 Flight Attendants at Omni Air International.  Omni Flight Attendants, who requested an election in August, are eager to have a voice at work and advance their careers with the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA). Voting instructions were mailed by the National Mediation Board (NMB) today and results will be announced on Tuesday, October 25.

Washington, DC – Flight Attendants from US Airways, America West, Piedmont, PSA, Mesaba, Mesa and Air Wisconsin joined together this week to form the US Airways Flight Attendant Labor Alliance.
