Flight Attendants At Hawaiian Reach Tentative Agreement

Washington, DC – The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) at Hawaiian Airlines today announced a tentative agreement with management. The agreement was reached with the assistance of the National Mediation Board (NMB) utilizing a “Facilitated Problem Solving” approach to negotiations. While the NMB’s facilitation ended prior to an agreement being reached, its services enabled the parties to close out the remaining issues without direct involvement by the NMB.

Spirit Flight Attendants Prepared To Strike If Necessary

Washington, DC – Spirit Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), fed up with management delays and regressive proposals, officially requested a process that would encourage reaching an agreement or a strike deadline.  On Friday, AFA asked the National Mediation Board (NMB) to declare that negotiations are at an impasse and requested a proffer of arbitration.  This step is required prior to setting a 30-day cooling-off period, the time during which intense negotiations typically take place and lead to an agreement or a strike.

Flight Attendants At United Airlines Move Forward With A Ratified Contract

One Step Closer To Completing Merger

Chicago, IL –Flight Attendants at United Airlines, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), today ratified a contract covering the 15,000 pre-merger United Flight Attendants.  An overwhelming majority of Flight Attendants, 88.5 percent, participated in the vote and 70.4 percent solidly cast their ballots in favor of the agreement.  This agreement was reached on January 7, 2012, utilizing an innovative process modeled on the National Mediation Board’s Expedited Mediation Program. This is the first post-bankruptcy contract for United Flight Attendants.

Senate Passage Of FAA Reauthorization Attacks Collective Bargaining Rights

Delta Connection Flight Attendants At Compass Airlines Stand Up For Decent Pay

Washington, DC – Compass Airlines Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), today voted against a tentative agreement with management. AirTran and Southwest Flight Attendants Ratify Transiton Agreement

Washington, DC – AirTran Airways Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), today ratified a Seniority Integration and Transition Agreement today. The agreement was reached in December with AFA, Southwest Airlines, AirTran Airways, and Transport Workers Union Local 556, which represents Southwest Flight Attendants, and outlines the full integration of AirTran Flight Attendants into Southwest as the two airlines merge.
