CHICAGO (July 16, 2024) – Flight Attendants at United Airlines, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), will take a strike authorization vote after continued frustrations in contract negotiations. This is the first time since the 2005 bankruptcy negotiations that Flight Attendants at the major airline will vote on strike authorization. This United management team rewards themselves with massive compensation increases while Flight Attendants struggle to pay basic bills.

Washington, D.C. (June 13, 2024) —Thousands of Flight Attendants demonstrated together at more than 30 airports around the world on Thursday, June 13 to demand new record contracts to get our fair share of the profits and control of our time. 80,000 Flight Attendants are currently in contract negotiations across the U.S. aviation industry.   

WASHINGTON, June 12 – Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) today, with 31 of his colleagues in the Senate, called on the National Mediation Board (NMB) to urgently resolve unfairly delayed contract negotiations that have left more than 100,000 flight attendants and airline workers stuck in expired contracts without the ability to strike – all while cost-of-living expenses are on the rise and airline carriers rake in record-breaking profits.

DENVER (May 29, 2024) — Today, Frontier Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), have filed for federal mediation with the National Mediation Board for impact bargaining over Frontier Airlines’ business model change that is causing a dramatic reduction in compensation while sharply increasing time on the job or commuting to it.

Laphonza Butler (D-Calif.), telling Delta Air Lines to remain neutral in union organizing campaigns for approximately 55,000 workers at the most profitable U.S. airline.
