Next Week: Final Flight With “HA” Callsign

October 24, 2025 - Next week, Hawaiian Airlines will fly under its callsign for the last time before officially merging with Alaska Airlines under a single operating certificate (SOC). Flight HA866 will depart PPG and arrive in HNL at approximately 5:40 am HST. This is an important and emotional milestone for our AFA Hawaiian family in the Alaska-Hawaiian Airlines merger.

All members of our AFA Hawaiian family are invited to gather as one ʻohana in the gate area to welcome the arrival of HA866 from Pagopago. The AFA Hawaiian MEC has requested that the company provide space and opportunity for all employees to be present for this significant occasion.

We know that our AFA Hawaiian family may be feeling a range of emotions as we approach this moment of transition. We are coming together in unity to honor the importance of the Hawaiian Airlines brand. As our AFA Hawaiian leaders said, “Let us come together to bid a heartfelt faʻafetai tele lava and mahalo nui loa to the call sign that has carried our voices, our history, and our spirit across the skies.”

Last year, the AFA Executive Board passed a resolution recognizing the rich history of Hawaiian Airlines Flight Attendants and their contributions to our union and our careers, promising to ensure the legacy of Hawaiian Airlines is “always at the forefront of the story and actions of our Union.”
