One Day Longer, One Day Stronger: Holding the line with UMWA Coal Miners
April 8, 2022 - On Wednesday, AFA joined labor unions from around the country, including our ALPA and CWA sisters and brothers, at Alabama’s Tannehill State Park for a rally in support of striking WarriorMet United Mine Workers of America (UMWA) coal miners.
UMWA MineWorkers at WarriorMet in Alabama have been on strike for a year in their fight for a fair contract from a Wall Street-backed coal company. This is about Wall Street greed. We fight the same greed in the airline industry. Flight Attendants are with Mineworkers all the way.
