March 10, 2023 - Our CWA siblings at the Pittsburgh Post Gazette have been on strike for over four months and had their health care stripped away by Block Communications Inc., owner of the paper.
This week, AFA Vice President Keturah Johnson joined strikers at C-SPAN headquarters to demand that C-SPAN remove Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Chairman and CEO Allan Block from their Board of Directors.
Block Communications, Inc. is spending millions of dollars to silence Pittsburgh News Guild journalists instead of providing them with affordable health insurance.
One day longer, one day stronger. We stand with our CWA Union siblings on strike! Post-Gazette Guild workers deserve a contract. Management needs to get back to the table and treat journalists with respect.
