Silver AFA Bankruptcy Update
April 25, 2025 -- Silver Airways recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Last week, a Trustee filed a motion to convert the bankruptcy from Chapter 11 (restructuring) to Chapter 7 (liquidation), indicating concerns that the airline will be unable to regain profitability.
Our AFA Legal Department is actively engaged in the court proceedings and fighting to protect Silver Flight Attendants. We are hoping the motion will be dismissed so we can work with management and represent our interests as originally planned.
Silver AFA Flight Attendants believe in the future of the airline. Our AFA Silver leaders are mobilizing Flight Attendants to attend the hearing to represent the very real impacts this decision could have on Silver employees.
