Solidarity at DCA Picket Line for Air Wisconsin Contract Fight

(June 14, 2019) - Flight Attendants from Air Wisconsin, Horizon, Alaska, Envoy, Piedmont, PSA, Spirit, Compass, Frontier, Mesa and United were out on the picket line on Tuesday at Washington National Airport (DCA) to fight for a fair contract with a living wage for Air Wisconsin Flight Attendants.

AFA was also joined by Representative Peter DeFazio (D-Oregon) who serves as the Chairman of the House of Representatives Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. He said, "I joined United Express carrier Air Wisconsin Flight Attendants and AFA today in a protest demanding fair pay. Flight Attendants work tirelessly to keep the flying public safe—they deserve better than this."

This protest comes on the heels of the Air Wisconsin Flight Attendant’s most recent picket at Dulles International Airport last month. Despite numerous federally mediated sessions, Air Wisconsin has refused to move on their bargaining position. Last fall, Air Wisconsin Flight Attendants authorized a strike by a 99% vote.
