St. Vincent’s Nurses Strike Ends in Victory
January 8, 2022 - It took 10 months on the picket line but the nurses at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts will return to work after ending the longest nurses strike in Massachusetts history, with the ratification of a new contract that improves staffing and patient care conditions.
Vincent's Hospital is owned by Tenet Healthcare, and hedge funds wanted to squeeze more and more out of hospitals to funnel money to Wall Street, not patient care.
This summer in Dallas and around the country, AFA joined with APFA, and other labor and community activists in Dallas, to stand in solidarity with the striking nurses.
Thank you, AFA activists for showing solidarity with the nurses. When we fight, we win!
