February 6, 2022 - Members of the Transport Workers Union & Flight Attendants’ Association of Australia are fighting for their livelihoods as Qantas Airways is threatening to terminate their contracts - effectively slashing their hourly wages by an average of 40% and cutting their rest periods in half. Some crew stand to have their hourly rate cut by as much as 65%.
These Flight Attendants have worked through the COVID crisis, and more and this is how they are being treated?
The majority of crew would not be able to survive on this and would have to leave the aviation industry after decades of loyalty to Qantas.
