Thousands of Flight Attendants Stand Up for Strong Contracts During Worldwide Day of Action
June 14, 2024—Yesterday, thousands of Flight Attendants and our allies picketed for contracts that finally pay us what we’ve earned. With pickets at more than 30 airports, we showed airline management and the flying public that no matter our uniforms, we’re united in the fight to raise the standards for our careers.
“Flight Attendants cannot afford to wait any longer for these agreements and neither can the airlines,” said Sara Nelson, International President of the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, representing nearly 55,000 Flight Attendants at 20 airlines. “We’re done with hollow platitudes about how much Flight Attendants are ‘appreciated.’ Airlines need to get serious and reach agreements with us immediately. If not, we’re ready for next steps under the Railway Labor Act.”

Take action to end tiers in aviation!
The Solidarity Summer Worldwide Flight Attendant Day of Action shined a light on the struggles that regional Flight Attendants face in earning fair wages. In many cases, passengers don’t even know when they’re flying a “different” airline. Yet regional Flight Attendants are paid much less than their mainline counterparts.
AFA members at Endeavor Air, a wholly-owned regional of Delta, are tackling this issue head-on by petitioning Delta CEO Ed Bastian to demand the most profitable airline stop short-changing Flight Attendants. Click here to add your name and support your flying partners!
Regional or mainline, we all deserve dignity and respect on the job. Yesterday showed we will fight together to get it. Sign Endeavor AFA’s petition and save the date to join them on the picket line at LGA on June 25.
