United AFA Reaches Tentative Agreement
May 31, 2025 - United AFA Flight Attendants and United management last week reached an historic tentative agreement for 28,000 Flight Attendants.
This Tentative Agreement has the highest compensation and the largest overall economic improvement in the history of our careers. Together, we secured the highest retro payment of all crew contracts, boarding pay, the best economic and quality of life provisions for Flight Attendants on reserve, scheduling improvements for all Flight Attendants without any mention of PBS, significant improvements for our hotels, preserved healthcare, improved retirement, and many other improvements.
After careful review, elected leaders of Flight Attendants at every United AFA-CWA Local Council approve and endorse the 2025 Tentative Agreement for review and ratification by the members.
We stood in solidarity with Flight Attendants across the industry and demonstrated our willingness to do ‘Whatever It Takes’ to raise standards and return to leap frog bargaining to lift our careers higher with every ratified agreement.
This agreement would not have been possible without Flight Attendants acting in solidarity: visual unity of red pins and lanyards, support of other Flight Attendants in negotiations, calls to Congress, our historic CHAOS strike vote, participation in Days of Action, and strategic CHAOS-style pop-up events.
