United Flight Attendants Vote to Authorize Strike
August 30, 2024 —United Flight Attendants voted 99.99% to authorize a strike with 90.21% participating. The results of the vote were announced live, simultaneously, on picket lines at 20 airports across the country.
As Labor Day travel kicks off, United AFA sent a clear message to management: we’re ready to do whatever it takes to get the contract we have earned.
“We are the face of United Airlines and planes don’t take off without us. As Labor Day travel begins, United management is reminded what’s at stake if we don’t get this done,” said United AFA MEC President Ken Diaz. “The 99.99% yes vote is a clear reminder that we are unified in the fight against corporate greed and ready to fight for our fair share of the profits we create.”
