Inaugural Flight for Norse Atlantic Airways

June 19, 2022 - Norse Air’s inaugural flight took place on Tuesday of this week, from JFK to Oslo. Working the flight are former AFA members who will soon be AFA members again with the ability to vote on a contract that includes the highest starting pay of any U.S. airline.

Thanks to these amazing activists, all AFA Flight Attendants, and the fight all of aviation labor took up for years against flags of convenience airlines. Our fight resulted in a labor leading airline & a precedent DOT should demand of all airlines seeking approval to fly in or to the USA.

The Points Guy took note, "I chatted with the flight attendants working door three during boarding. These flight attendants were based in the U.S. and sported Association of Flight Attendants-CWA union pins...These flight attendants were excited about their union-in-waiting."
