Flight Attendant Union Applauds Swift Confirmation of FAA Administrator

Washington, D.C. (October 24, 2023) — Association of Flight Attendants-CWA President Sara Nelson, representing 50,000 Flight Attendants at 19 airlines, released the following statement on the Senate's confirmation of Mike Whitaker for FAA Administrator:

“We congratulate Mike Whitaker on his overwhelming Senate confirmation vote to serve as FAA Administrator. We can’t wait to get to work with him to strengthen our national air transportation system. We have urgent work to do: securing an FAA Reauthorization Bill, ATC hiring, curtailing disruptive passenger behavior, and long-term planning for an expanding industry. We look forward to working with Administrator Whitaker to keep our skies safe and secure.”
