Association of Flight Attendants-CWA President, AFA Hawaiian Leaders and Hawaiian Airlines Flight Attendants Thursday on Contract Negotiations

HONOLULU – On Thursday, February 27th, the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) President Sara Nelson will be holding a press conference with AFA Hawaiian Leaders and Hawaiian Airline Flight Attendants to discuss the status of Hawaiian Airline Flight Attendants contract negotiation status.

Thursday’s press conference comes on the heels of Hawaiian Flight Attendants picketing the quarterly meeting of Hawaiian Airlines Board of Directors ‘meeting in hopes that their concerns would be heard by the airlines’ top leadership.

Last November, Hawaiian Flight Attendants voted 99.9% to authorize a strike, if necessary. The vote came after numerous protests throughout the islands and in Los Angeles in the last several months.

Nelson's arrival in Hawaii supports the Flight Attendant actions and signals to the airline the critical juncture of the negotiations.
