Hawaiian Flight Attendants Take Contract Fight to LAX

(July 26, 2019) - On Thursday, nearly 100 AFA Hawaiian Flight Attendants joined by United and Alaska Flight Attendants and labor allies picketed at LAX.

AFA’s Jeff Fuke, a Hawaiian Flight Attendant for 11 years and a member of AFA Hawaiian’s negotiating committee told the Honolulu Star Advertiser, “Flight attendants want to feel respected, appreciated and valued — that would reflect positively on our whole organization. We are Hawaii’s hometown airline now going into our 90th year of operations. Our most senior flight attendants have been through all the bankruptcies and hard times and have given up quite a bit out of previous contracts to make sure the company could stay afloat and succeed. The company’s success should be our success.”

Last month, nearly 400 Flight Attendants picketed at HNL. AFA Hawaiian plan to keep this contract fight in the public eye. Plan to join Hawaiian Flight Attendants on this picket line in Honolulu on August 28, 2019.
